Ben Aiken, MD, MSPH, DipABLM
Ben is the founder of Lantern Health, a direct primary care practice based in Asheville, NC, where he delivers accessible, affordable, and personalized care with a focus on an authentic experience designed to help clients achieve their optimal health. He also serves as VP of Health for Decent, seeking to bring affordable health insurance to all. He is helping to demonstrate the applicability and drive the adoption of direct primary care at scale through his work with consumers, employers, and payors, with the goal of transforming healthcare to work better for everyone.

Risheet Patel, MD
Risheet is a practicing Family Physician and founder of Fishers Direct Family Care just outside of Indianapolis, IN. He enjoys seeing adults and children while building long-term relationships in the process. He employs a preventive and proactive approach to care that is backed by evidence based methodology. He has a passion for innovation in health care delivery through the use of technology and unique healthcare workflows. A Past-President of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Patel continues to work with local and national organizations to advance the fields of Family Medicine and Direct Primary Care.

Jason Rutz
Jason has been in the healthcare and insurance industry for 15 years, starting his career with UnitedHealthcare in sales and management positions within its Direct Sales Division. Jason then moved on to build sales divisions for OneCause, a multiple award winning software company who developed a platform to help non-profit organizations raise money and connect with donors. Since then, he has worked with multiple start-up companies, including helping launch Freedom Healthworks, an organization helping physicians launch independent practices as part of the Direct Primary Care movement.

Our healthcare system is known for complexity. Misaligned incentives and lack of transparency lead to excess, waste, and a seemingly insurmountable problem. Visionary people and businesses for years have been reclaiming age-old values of simplicity and personal connection to create a realigned, reimagined health care system, one that you could explain to the next generation on an index card. 3x5 Health joins this effort.
